Cutting payroll prep from two days to twenty minutes

Crew hours lived in the field-ops platform; payroll lived somewhere else. Every fortnight someone reconciled them by hand, and edits made after a ticket started were silently lost.

We built a scheduled sync that pulls records created or modified since the last run, mapped pay codes to rates, and generated the payroll import file straight from the database.

Result: a two-day manual reconciliation became a twenty-minute review, and the class of silently-dropped edits disappeared entirely.
